Finding Home Solo Exhibition
4th - 6th April
~ an intimate exhibition exploring migration, belonging and diaspora identity ~

Produced and curated independently by me, featuring some of my own photography projects;
- Finding Home Away From Home
- Life in an Indian Village
- La Double Absence
as well as poetry, from spoken word poet Karim Leo, who performed live on the opening night.

The exhibition was free for visitors and located in a community space above small, independent business, Petit Village, Deptford High Street.
Further aligned with the themes of the projects, and aims for community connection, I also offered a charity portrait session,
with proceeds donated to SaveTheChildren's Gaza Relief Fund.

Finding Home Away From Home

Life in an Indian Village

La Double Absence

Displayed against a projected grayscale map;
that of the posters' backgrounds.

A Red String of Fate makes its way around the space, linking all the pieces together, including a mirror frame;
a metaphor for coming home to yourself.
This is also cohesive with the lines on the grayscale map.
